Frankie's Girl is a stationery and lifestyle brand located in Sydney Australia, with a focus on creating paper goods injected with a dash of wit, a bit of street cred and a whole lot of heart.
Founder and Creative Director Sarine Badelian is sometimes known as a dreamer, a storyteller, major procrastinator (ok that's more than just 'sometimes') and a hopeless romantic. With a solid background in graphic design, she spent most of her working career in publishing, design studios, marketing and various freelance roles within the travel, finance, fashion and corporate industries.
From a young age it was apparent that design would somehow sculpt her future. A favourite school activity was spending hours hand drawing type, colouring and perfecting the title page of each project so that the first impression the teacher received was a lasting one. Fast forward to present day, corporate roles were courageously pushed aside in order to get back to basics with pencil, ink and paper, thus bringing to life the venture she wanted to create most, Frankie's Girl.
The name is a little love note dedicated to her persuasive husband, named Frank, who was the main champion and supporter of Sarine pursuing a more creative lifestyle and reconnecting with her true passion. What started off as a few wedding invitations turned into a growing stationery line including greeting cards, prints and specialty products, with the hopes of developing fresh ideas and also reinventing existing concepts.
Sarine's philosophy of life is not just about finding your purpose but also about the connections and the difference we make to others. Inspired by travel, song lyrics and the world around her, she takes enormous pride in creating products which induce heartfelt smiles and serve the special occasions that bring people together.
